Tangent; Or, How the Mortlock Wing at the State Library of SA stole the show

Tangent The State Theatre Company’s ‘Tangent’ event on Monday night was lots of fun — an hour of excellent questions and great conversation about fairy tales, and our enduring love of them.

Thanks to the State Theatre Co.’s Twitter stream, I have this lovely image to share with you. Nicki Bloom is giving the audience a brief retelling of ‘The Juniper Tree’ while Julia Robinson and I look on. Meanwhile, the Mortlock Wing steals the show with all its decorative wrought-ironwork, its polished mahogany, and stack upon stack of delicious old books…
