Don’t you love it when you set out to do stuff, and at the end of the weekend you’ve found that you’ve actually done it?
That’s how this weekend went for me.
Friday night: Met the girls for a quick drink and made it back home in time to see Chad post-shave (He’s raising funds for Movember again this year. Good cause, ugly mo. Sigh.)
Saturday: Groceries? Check. Exercise?* Check. Cleaned the pigsty that is otherwise known as our house? Check. Finished the Movember Quiz Night invitations?** Check. Worked on "Singing Breath"? Big check. Plus, managed to watch an episode of Buffy and have a lovely evening with Chad.
Sunday: The best Sunday I’ve had in ages, really. I got up at 9, made a coffee, and started writing. Stopped for a walk-break at about 1. Four straight hours of writing! Woo hoo! Then ate a delicious lunch, and — what’s that? More writing! Kept going until 5ish. Exercised again (MUCH harder the second day! Sore legs…) Had dinner, watched an episode of Carnivale (which I LOOOOVE) and then… hold onto your hats… wrote some more. The story’s nearly finished — well, it’ll be finished-ish by Wednesday, I’d say.
I love Writing Sundays.
*My November resolution is to get back into some sort of an exercise regime. I was doing so well before we went overseas, but ever since then I’ve been sitting on my ass more than working it out. No more!
**We’re hosting a Movember quiz night at the end of this month to try and raise as much dough as we can for Prostate Cancer Research and beyondblue. Once the invites have been sent around, I’ll post one here for all to admire see.
