So I’m sitting here this morning scrolling through Facebook while having my cereal, munching away when all of a sudden I see Jonathan Strahan’s post about the World Fantasy Award nominees, and HOLY CROW YOU GUYS MY BOOK IS ON THERE!!! The Fortunate Isles is nominated for Best Collection!!! So of course I immediately check my email — and OMG there’s proof in there that this is actually true!! How exciting!!! What an absolute thrill to be on this list alongside such exceptional writers — just seeing my collection named beside theirs is an enormous win. I’m so grateful!
